Tami C. has been a professional hairstylist since 2008 and is also the owner of IMENA Inc. a hair and beauty company based in Harlem, NY. She is the author of the book The IMENA Method: Natural Hair Care Techniques For all. She is also a social worker. She received her Master of Social Work degree (MSW) from the City University of New York, Hunter College School of Social Work in June of 2011. She started IMENA Inc. in 2008 so that clients could have a place to go to get their hair done that understands, appreciates and embraces diversity in hair textures, lengths and styles. The author is a mother, daughter, sister and aunt of six nieces and one nephew. She loves yoga, boxing, photography, knitting scarves for her friends and serving her community through volunteering with several non-profit organizations. She currently lives in Harlem NY.

The IMENA Method: Natural Hair Care Techniques For All. This is a 240 page coffee table / text book book filled with beautiful images and techniques Tami has honed over the years as a professional hair stylist specializing in natural hair care.
She is also the creator of IMENA Products which currently includes the Ori Luscious Hair Creme, a shea butter based curling creme and the ADORN Rich Hair Oil.
Tami C. is the writer and Director of the short film, BEAUTIFUL: The Documentary a film that explores social, and mental health effects of choosing to wear natural hair.
Tami C. is the creator of the IMENA hair care membership (all your hair care needs for one price) and the IMENA Collective which allows hair care professionals to earn more revenue through client sharing.
